  • Qualifications in Childcare

At Gladstone Parade Early Learning & Kinder we believe that the role of an educator is to provide an environment that cater for the individual needs of the children and the families. As educators, we follow the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and work with the Code of Ethics.

Educators continue to further develop their skills and knowledge through self-reflection, readings and research, and professional development.

Through observations, developmental knowledge, cultural awareness and a friendly and open approach to our daily interactions, we provide an environment that is open, warm, safe and caring for the children and their families.

We ensure that we treat all children and family members equally and with respect, regardless of race, gender, socio-economic status, ability or religion. We take pride in our inclusive nature and we foster a sense of belonging to this community.

Jandan Basaran

Hello, I’m Jandan. I’ve worked in Early Childhood Education for seven years. As a Centre Director, I believe that providing an environment where children feel safe, secure and respected for who they are, are the necessary elements for children to be able to settle well in the childcare setting. Children are motivated to learn when they have the opportunity to make choices in an environment that is enriching and stimulating. I’m a full-time student at Monash University and am currently studying Bachelor of Early Childhood (Honours). I believe it is essential that I continue to study so that I always have current knowledge about early childhood education and can share the knowledge with the educators and families. Outside of Gladstone Parade Early Learning and Kinder, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and participating in fun experiences such as, walking, going to the beach and weekend getaways.

Emma Warrick

Hi, I’m Emma. I have worked in Early Childhood Education for approximately four years. Throughout this time I have also studied to obtain my Post-graduate certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Shortly after beginning my studies in education, I realised that my passion lies in the early years. I decided that this is where I wanted to focus all of my energy because I believe children need educators who are committed to enhancing their learning and development. Outside of Gladstone Parade Early Learning and Kinder, I enjoy playing piano, playing tennis and spending time with my family and close friends. I am excited to share in your child’s journey throughout their kinder year and to support them, and you, in their transition to primary school.
